Tiny Stars

Children develop their fundamental movement skills between the ages of 2 and 5. Each stage of a youngster’s development presents critical learning periods. In general, a child will benefit by their involvement in gymnastics regardless of the age that they begin!

Open gym is strictly Parent/tot. In Tiny Stars class, an instructor leads parent/tot through skills, games and exercises. Simple tasks are requested so tots can easily be rewarded and the weekly theme’s have unique skills and games.

While some children may not be quite ready to move from a parent child class when they turn three, once your child “ages” out of the class at three years old, he or she can move to our Mini Stars classes which are independent classes.

Your Child will experience thrilling moments in the gym which range from rolling on mats to playing group parachute games. Their experience on the gymnastics apparatus is normally in the form of obstacle courses. The tots are encouraged to climb, crawl, and jump from station to station. The objectives at each station are basic motor patterns and therefore, simple to complete. Tot and parent share all of this excitement as they work through each class as partners. An additional benefit of being involved in gymnastics at this young age is the opportunity to socialize with other children of the same age. Sharing, following simple directions and social skill development are all-important aspects of a Parent/Tot Program. Long verbal explanations and demonstrations by the teacher are kept to a minimum due to the children’s short attention span.

At this age shorts & t-shirt are perfectly fine. Leotards are also an option and available for purchase in our pro-shop!

EDGE Taekwondo

The different martial arts all originated in different countries thousands of years ago, as forms of self-defense. Karate comes from Japan and Kung Fu from China. TaeKwonDo is native to Korea. In terms of techniques, TaeKwonDo is known as the kicking art and emphasizes kicks more than other martial arts. it is ideal for improving balance, flexibility, coordination and endurance. Besides the physical benefits many people practice TaeKwonDo to improve self-confidence and to gain valuable discipline. In addition, TaeKwonDo is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and is the only of these martial arts that is a sport in the Olympic Games. Currently more people study the art of TaeKwonDo than all other forms of martial arts combined.

Throughout their training, students are reminded that being physically and mentally tough doesn’t allow one to be tough with others. Instead, Taekwondo students are expected to be humble, courteous, respectful and careful about when and where they practice their skills. The instructors continuously remind students that Taekwondo is about self improvement and not a tool for bullying.

Yes. It is a requirement of our program. Please let the office know if you need a uniform. During the summer we allow shorts and an EDGE t-shirt.

Each belt has a set of curriculum, after successfully practicing that curriculum our instructors will invite students to a belt test.

Birthday Parties

The child and participants should be turning at least 2 years old.

We generally have multiple parties scheduled so we do not allow extended time beyond the package length.

If you need to re-schedule your party, please call the office as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate you. We can’t reschedule your party within one week.

You can share parties but will be charged the regular party package price, plus $25 to share a birthday party.

You as the party host have a few decisions. First as soon as parents come in and sign their children in they can leave if you are ok with that. We also have a great view of the entire facility upstairs or you can stand and watch your children play.

We understand things happen. If we need to reschedule your party because of weather, we will not charge you extra. However, you’ll need to pick up the cake and freeze it until the party date or purchase another cake.

Parties have a non-refundable deposit of $100; however, if you need to cancel the party and you do so at least two weeks prior to the date of the party, we will issue an account credit. Once the party falls in the two week window, the party becomes non-refundable and/or transferable. Cancellations may not be made via voicemail or email. Parties that need to reschedule must be rescheduled outside of the 2 week window.

We will contact you the Wednesday/Thursday prior to the party to confirm final head count. You are allowed to have more children than your package includes at an additional cost of $20 per child

Kids Fun Nights

This type of event is open to all children ages 4-12. You do not have to be a member to attend Pioneer Kids Fun Nights

Yes, we encourage you to invite a friend as it will make it an extra fun night for your child. You do not need to be a member of Pioneer Gymnastics to attend Kids Fun Nights!

We offer pizza, juice boxes and dessert at all of our Fun Nights! If your child doesn’t like pizza please have them pack a nut free dinner which we can store in our refrigerator

If your child can’t eat the food we provide please pack a safe dinner for them. It is also encouraged that you bring an EPI Pen. We always have first aid certified staff in the building that can help in case of an emergency. Please notify us when checking in or registering so we are alerted to the problem. We typically have a child with a food allergy each fun night so anything we serve does not have tree nuts or nuts.

There will be a staff ratio of 1 instructor per 10 children at all Fun Nights. Every child is checked in and checked out of our facility. Activities are monitored and children are re-directed if there is a safety issue.

Clothes without buttons, zippers or beads are most appropriate for Kids Fun Night. Long hair should be tied back and no shoes are worn in the gym. Kids will be running around and will typically be hot.

We do not allow parents to stay during Kids Fun Night. All parents are asked to leave within 10 minutes of drop off, as it’s your time to enjoy for yourself and only adults that have been background checked can stay! Safety is our first priority.

If Fun Night is cancelled due to inclement weather, we will send an email to all enrolled families and update our facebook page.
